Hey guys, I'm Ollie
Founder of Pocket Money
Pocket Money was born out of frustration. Like many young people, I experienced the reality of restaurants and bars asking me to do "free trials" with no actual work at the end of it. It felt unfair, exploitative, and left me wondering — why is it so hard for young people to find legitimate ways to earn money?
That experience sparked an idea. I realised there's a massive need in local communities to connect neighbours with each other — not just for tasks and odd jobs, but to build genuine local connections and friendships in a safe and secure manner.
Pocket Money is my answer to that need. It's a platform where young people can earn real money doing real work for real neighbours. No unpaid trials. No exploitation. Just honest work, fair pay, and the chance to build relationships within your own community.
